Real Madrid striker Ruud van Nistelrooy has revealed he is considering a move to Turkish giants Galatasaray.

Van Nistelrooy has struggled to force his way into the Real side this season and he has also been hampered by injury problems.

The former Manchester United ace has been linked with a return to the Premier League, with Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur rumoured to be interested.

Stoke City have confirmed a wish to sign the 33-year-old, but reports have suggested Galatasaray are favourites to capture the Dutchman.

Galatasaray are coached by Van Nistelrooy's compatriot Frank Rijkaard and a two-and-a-half year contract is reported to be on the table.

Van Nistelrooy is now giving serious thought to linking up with Rijkaard in Turkey after spending the past three-and-a-half years with Real.

He is quoted in the Sunday Mirror as saying: "Frank called me and asked, 'Do you want to come to Turkey?'

"I have to think about it because Galatasaray is a great club with a positive approach."

The paper reports that despite interest from Liverpool, Spurs and, errr, Stoke, Van Nistelrooy will instead head to Galatasaray to join Frank Rijkaard.
