Taylor is better off being loaned out for a season starting this summer, I think. He has gradually started to play weaker this season and it really didn't look good against PSV. Continuously impure passes, continuous loss of possession, never even hitting once, walking with the ball all the time and then eventually (logically) being put off the ball. And then look a few times aggrieved that you want a free kick. The object of the game is not to score free kicks, my friend, but to score goals. Pass that thing.
You sometimes have players who are sent into the field with too many instructions. I have the impression that Taylor goes into the field with too few instructions. "Do what you like, intuition." Something like that.
If you're not in shape, keep your game simple. Especially in midfield. Making sure you play away from busy areas and don't walk with the ball. You only do that with 6-0 if you have a hat trick in it.
Taylor makes it all incredibly difficult and fails partly because of it. And then also has a trainer who does not intervene, so that he could also think that he is doing what is asked.
In short: rent out season to a mid-engine where he can play 34 games. Preferably a club with an experienced, clear trainer. FC Twente or something. That gives Ajax the opportunity to give the next talent playing time for a year, for example Vos. That can be disappointing, but so does Taylor. In the best case scenario, a year later you will have two usable midfielders with the necessary match experience. At worst, you'll be just as far from home as you are now.
